Contact your parliamentary candidates
Help to safeguard the future of shooting and conservation by contacting your parliamentary candidates ahead of the general election on 4th July.
This page allows you to identify your candidates and email them with a letter asking them to approve the BASC manifesto. Please ensure that any replies you receive are forwarded to politics@basc.org.uk so we can let other voters in your constituency know where your candidates stand.
BASC is an all-party organisation and will continue to fight for sustainable shooting and conservation whatever the result of the election.
On 4th July, we can all shape the next government. Parliamentary candidates need to recognise the importance of shooting, and this is where you can make a difference. We recommend that members ask candidates to approve the BASC manifesto which seeks:
- Recognition of the importance of shooting and conservation to the environment, the economy, food and social wellbeing of the country.
- A properly resourced firearms licensing system that fulfils its primary purpose of protecting public safety by being conducted efficiently and effectively.
Please email your prospective MPs using our suggested wording which will appear once you have entered your constituency name. You can amend our wording if you wish. Please let BASC know the terms of any reply you receive by emailing it to politics@basc.org.uk.
You can identify your constituency by entering your postcode here. You can see a prediction for the result in your area by clicking on your constituency on the map here. Consider inviting your candidates with the best chance of winning to see your shoot, club or shooting business. Our experience is that visiting and seeing for themselves changes minds to support shooting and conservation.
Please note, we will continue to add new candidates when their details are released. Please use the site for the candidates that we have and check back for new candidates in your area.
